In Baku, the Second Festival of Books and Literature of the Turkic World has begun.

According to Azernews, the festival brings together more than 50 publishing firms to promote reading among people.

The Days of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other nations are among the events that make this year's festival stand out.

Book enthusiasts may buy scientific, instructional, and fiction publications during the event, along with handicrafts, paintings, and graphic art.

Veterans of the First Karabakh War performed a musical composition during the opening ceremony. The live Second Karabakh War heroes then recited poetry that they had written.

Recall that the Soz (Word) literature project, founded by poetess Nigar Hasanzade to promote the works of national poets and authors, executed the "Words of the Heroes!" project.

The Second Festival of Literature and Books of the Turkic World is being held in a significant year, the year that marks the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the formation of the Turkish Republic, according to People's Writer Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union.

Sabir Rustamkhanli, an MP, the People's Poet, Academician Dilgam Tagiyev, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and other prominent personalities, authors, and scientists emphasized the significance of the event.

The balloons with the poetry were then let go into the sky.
